Hey there, Miss Manny Quinn.
Sitting in the window, watching the world go by. Pretty as fuck. Perfectly posed. The outfit? Immaculate. The lighting? Flattering. The energy? Apparently protected.
Look at you. Living your best life.
Or so you keep telling everybody.
You've got standards, darling. Boundaries. A morning routine. A vision board so elaborate it probably needs planning permission. You're manifesting the man, the money, the lifestyle. Everything is already yours in the quantum field.
Now you’re sitting there behind life’s glass patiently waiting for delivery like the pretty little statue you are.
But even Barbie had a man, a car, a Dreamhouse and Cindy as her opp. That bitch had things going on.
You, meanwhile, have been standing in the same window since, well, forever.
THE UNIVERSE HAS LEFT YOU ON READ
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm all for a little manifestating.
But somewhere along the way you've confused deciding what you want with actually going to get it.
You've visualised the relationship but won't meet anybody. You've affirmed your success but won't let anybody see your work. And when an opportunity comes along, you need another three signs and a tarot reading before you'll consider it.
If God wanted it for me, it would happen.
Would it, Manny?
Because I suspect God has been sending you opportunities for months and you've been sending them straight to voicemail.
Then you see another woman living something remarkably similar to what you ordered.
Suddenly it's spiritual warfare.
She's stolen my destiny.
Somebody's blocking my blessings.
That should have been me.
Or perhaps she left the fucking house.
Perhaps she manifested and then went outside and made her back a helipad for it to land on.
Meanwhile, you've been waiting for a divine courier to ring the bell.
Babe, the universe is not DPD.
And frankly, your vision board is bored of you.
ALL THAT VISIBILITY. NOT A SINGLE FINGERPRINT.
The funny thing is, you're not even hiding.
Everybody can see you.
You're right there in the window, giving the public a carefully curated glimpse of your fabulous existence. People admire you. Some envy you. Others want what you've got.
At least that's what you've decided they're thinking.
Because from behind the glass, you can invent an entire social life without the inconvenience of actually having one.
She's jealous. He's intimidated. They're not on your frequency.
You have an explanation for everybody.
And absolutely no idea who any of them are.
That's what happens when you're so preoccupied with being looked at that you forget to look back.
You've mistaken attention for connection. Admiration for opportunity. Being noticed for being known.
But nobody knows what you want, Manny. Nobody knows what you can do. Nobody knows whether you'd like to be invited, introduced, hired, kissed or left alone.
You've given them something to look at.
Nothing to work with.
THE TROUBLE WITH KEEPING YOUR HANDS CLEAN
Let's discuss those hands.
Beautifully manicured. Not a chip in sight.
And not a fingerprint on anything of consequence.
You've worked hard on yourself. Healed wounds. Learnt boundaries. Discovered the value of your own company. And I'm not about to tell you to throw all that away.
But somewhere between protecting your peace and maintaining your vibration, you've started treating ordinary human involvement like a contamination risk.
A little discomfort? Bad energy.
An unfamiliar person? Not aligned.
Something doesn't go exactly to plan? Divine redirection.
Manny, sometimes a disappointing date is just a disappointing date. You don't need to convene the ancestors.
Healing was supposed to give you more freedom to live, not a more sophisticated collection of reasons to avoid it.
And I wonder whether you've noticed how small your world has become while you've been making yourself so spiritually comfortable.
THERE'S MORE OF YOU OUT THERE
Here's the thing you can't put on a vision board.
You don't know everything you want yet.
How could you? There are people you haven't met, places you haven't been and experiences you couldn't possibly have imagined from your little spot in the window.
And some of those encounters will introduce you to parts of yourself you didn't know existed.
That's the delicious thing about going Out.
You can know yourself intimately and still be surprised by who you become in somebody else's company. A conversation can change your mind. An unexpected invitation can change your plans. Someone else's enthusiasm can make you curious about something you've never considered.
Sometimes the life you're trying so hard to manifest isn't waiting for you fully assembled.
Sometimes you have to get involved before it takes shape.
GET YOUR GRUBBY LITTLE MITTS ON SOMETHING
So, Miss Manny Quinn, I think it's time.
Get down from that pedestal. You've had your moment in the window.
Now go and put those lovely manicured hands to work.
Be interested in something. Let somebody know you're interested in them. Make an offer. Ask a question you don't already know the answer to. Follow a curiosity without needing to know where it'll lead.
And when something catches your attention, don't immediately retreat into your head to analyse whether it's aligned with the woman you're becoming.
Find out.
You might love it. You might hate it. You might end up somewhere entirely different from where you intended.
That's rather the point.
Because Out is where the world gets a say in who you're becoming.
You've spent enough time deciding who you are in private. Now you get to discover what happens when that woman meets life.
LOOK AT YOU NOW
Well, would you look at that.
Miss Manny Quinn. Out in the world.
The hair's not quite as perfect. Somebody's smudged your lipstick. You've got somewhere to be next Thursday and a story you couldn't have written yesterday.
You're still gorgeous, darling. Still discerning. Still perfectly entitled to go home, close the door and enjoy your own company.
But look at those hands.
Fingerprints everywhere.
Turns out the world had quite a lot to offer you.
And you had quite a lot to offer it.
So go on, Miss Manny Quinn.
Your vision board is bored of you staring at it.
Go and get the things.
